For all nature enthusiasts! Enjoy a walk through the park’s fields and vast Goldenrod Jungle with Ranger Dawn. On the way you’ll be amazed at the diversity of insects, spiders, and birds that depend on this unique habitat for survival. Space is very limited and registration is required. Calling all teens 11 to 14 years old who love nature! Has your child wanted to work with animals, garden, help maintain our trails, and help with special events? 

This is the opportunity to help the

Nature Center in our 8-week after-school program. 

Parental permission is required. Class size is limited; this class fills up fast!

Come visit the Nature Center and many others for a fun filled day on Ansonia’s Main Street, hosted by the Ansonia Cultural Commission. There will be music, crafters, great food and much more! Visit www.cityofansonia.com for more information.

World of Reptiles – Sunday, Sept. 26, 1:30 p.m.

Older than the dinosaurs, reptiles have walked the earth for over 300 million years! Learn amazing facts about reptiles with Ranger Evelyn and help from some of our animal ambassadors. Come see and hold a live snake, turtle, and lizard. Space is very limited and registration is required.

Ansonia Public Works - THANK YOU

Ansonia Public Works has been helping the ANRC with many updates and repairs, as well as their continual dedication to keeping our, grounds, fields, playgrounds, and public spaces neat, clean, trimmed, and safe. 
We want to send a special "Thank You" to our hard-working friends that keep this community resource ship-shape for your enjoyment. Please be sure to do your part and continue to pick up after yourselves.

Lewis Tree Service steps up and helps the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center with two problematic trees. 
Did you know that these dedicated workers use our 156 acre nature preserve for practice and development? This was done FREE of charge in preparation for our new roof!
