Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby.
DERBY - Come and get your hands wet at a pond exploration program at 10 a.m. June 26 with Kellogg Environmental Center staff.
Nets and pans will be provided along with other equipment. Participants will be able to catch and examine large and small organisms before releasing them back into their natural environment.
This special hands-on program is for all ages to learn about the diversity of life in a pond environment.
Families and individuals will meet under the tent at the Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorne Ave. to gather equipment before walking to the pond across the street in Osbornedale State Park.
With the help of staff naturalists, participants will search for animals that make this body of water and its’ wetland special.
Please dress for mess and understand that there will be mud. Registration is required to participate in this free program.
