Griffin Hospital opens occupational medicine center in Shelton

SHELTON - Griffin Hospital held an official grand opening celebration Wednesday for its Occupational Medicine center.
The facility opened Aug. 1 in a space directly below the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce offices at 10 Progress Drive.

Myra Odenwaelder, Director of Rehabilitation Services, told attendees gathered in the waiting room the department "has increased space, staff, and equipment." She said new on-site X-ray equipment makes their work more efficient. "It's very convenient for Shelton employers to send employees our way."
