Shelton Clergy Association to sponsor gospel concert on Huntington Green

SHELTON - The Shelton Clergy Association will sponsor a
concert by the Gospel duo “Devoted” from 5-7 p.m. June 26 on the Huntington Green.

At age 4, Edmund Bullock had to be lifted onto a front pew to be seen when he sang lead for his church’s choir in Boston.

That same year he began performing with his father and uncle and their singing group, the Bullock Brothers. A songwriter since the age of 9, and directing his own choir by 10, Edmund has been in ministry for more than 47 years.

In October 2000, he was ordained a Baptist minister.

Gisela Morgan was 2 when she began singing with her identical twin sister, accompanied by her grandfather on banjo, back on the island of Nevis in the West Indies.

Coming to Boston in 1989, and taking the name Double Blessing, (later choosing simply the Morgan Sisters), Gisela and Myrna officially established themselves as a singing ministry, quickly becoming one of Boston’s best and best loved.
For 15 years the Morgan Sisters performed throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and as far away as Korea.

In 2006 Edmund and Gisela united in marriage and ministry, choosing Devoted (“to God and to one another”) as their name.

Edmund is southern Baptist and soul. Gisela is Wesleyan and worship.
Together, blending their individual styles, personalities, and cultural backgrounds, they are truly unique—their music is original, relevant, and powerful.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held across the Green at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
