Talk at Seymour Historical Society offers look at parkway's past

My daughter Allegra and I enjoyed an educational and popular program Sunday about the Merritt Parkway at the Seymour Historical Society headquarters.
More than 60 people attended, and 20 had to be turned away.

Stamford resident Jill Smyth, executive director of the Merritt Parkway Conservancy since 2007, presented interesting facts about the 37.5-mile road that meanders through Fairfield County from Greenwich to Stratford.

Read more about the Merritt's history in an upcoming issue of our Valley Voice newsletter.
