Troupe to present murder mystery at Shelton Senior Center

The cast of 'Murder Takes the Cake.'
SHELTON - Mystery and murder are coming to the Shelton Senior Center with an annual performance written by resident Amanda Marrone.

The Friends of the Shelton Libraries will host Marrone’s Murder Takes the Cake at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Shelton Senior Center, 81 Meadow St.

Marrone's play features local actors. The murder will happen before a buffet-style dinner, which allows discussion and guesses on who the murderer was. Those who guess the murderer correctly can win a prize.

The catered dinner is from Trattoria Roma; diners may bring their own bottles. During dinner, the actors will lay out the drama and leave the diners to debate the clues.
Prizes will be offered to those who select the murderer.

Ticket are $30 per person; arrange a table with your friends to up the ante.

Tickets are on sale now at both Plumb Memorial Library, Huntington Branch Library, and the Friends' website, www.FOTSL.org.
