Ansonia hosting 2nd annual Holiday Toy Drive
Junior Friends of Shelton Libraries to wrap gifts as community service
SHELTON - Do you hate gift wrapping? Good news!
The Junior Friends of the Shelton Libraries are offering gift wrapping during the month of December as their community service project!
Patrons can register for a 20-minute gift wrapping time slot with a limit of five items to be wrapped; the library will provide the paper, tags, and bows.

'Turnback Tuesday' highlights bridge over Housatonic River
Turnback Tuesday looks at the Housatonic River.
This photo is looking east down the 148-mile long river. The Derby-Shelton Bridge is in the background.
The original bridge linking the two towns together was built in 1839. The covered bridge seen in this photo was replaced in 1891.
The Ansonia, Derby, and Shelton part of the river is tidal. It is said that there is good fishing where the tidal waters meet the flow of the dam.
