Land Stewards to cut invasive plant at Ansonia Nature Center

Stewardship Series 1: Nix the Knotweed  – July 6, 10 a.m.
Join the Ansonia Nature Center’s Land Stewards Team and help us in our 3-year effort to restore the park’s land.
Japanese Knotweed is an invasive plant and a threat to our Nature Center habitats and waterways. We will gather as a team to do a carbohydrate starvation cut to select sensitive knotweed-infested areas.
Please bring loppers or a harvesting knife. Afterward, we will have pizza and s’mores in Pavilion #2.
For ages 12 and up (accompanied by an adult).
The Nature Center is at 10 Deerfeield Lane.

This is a press release from the Ansonia Nature Center.
