Seymour Pink opens 2024 T-shirt design contest for students


Our 2024 T-shirt design contest is open now! All Seymour resident middle school, high school, and college age students are eligible to enter.

The winning designer will earn a $1,000 scholarship bursary and your design will go on thousands of 2024 Seymour Pink shirts!

Hot Tamale to host karaoke fundraiser Saturday for Seymour woman



SEYMOUR - Hot Tamale Mexican Grill & Bar will host a karaoke fundraiser from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday for Colleen Sadick, a beloved member of the Seymour community.
She recently was diagnosed with MDS, a form of bone marrow cancer. This event is dedicated fully to Colleen.
It will include pay to sing karaoke and a variety
of raffle baskets. You do not need to be present to win.
All proceeds from raffles, karaoke, and a portion of restaurant sales will be donated to Colleen and her family for medical expenses.
Here are the fun rules of the night!!
Admission is free but you will need to PAY to SING or NOT to SING so BRING CASH. This is a fun night and a great way to raise money
for our Colleen.
$3 - Per song for you to sing or to make someone else sing.
$3 - Per song to add someone to a song or to change the song
someone is singing.
$3 - Stop a singer from finishing their song.
$3 - To start a singer back up singing that was paid to stop.
$15 -Buy out paid at the beginning of the night to stop others from making you sing at all.
Necklaces will be given to those who pay $15 to distinguish them from NON SINGERS. You will still be able to pay for others to sing.
We will also be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win some
GREAT RAFFLES!!!

$10 for 15
$20 for 40

Seymour Oxford Food Bank posts February wish list, seeks volunteers


SEYMOUR - Seymour Oxford Food Bank has posted the following wish list for February donations:

Comfort Closet items: shampoo, soap, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes. Thank you!

In a separate post the nonprofit wrote: "Do you have a few hours a week to volunteer with a great group of people?

The food bank is located at 20 Pine St.
