DERBY - Craft expert Lisa Lupa will lead three crafting sessions at Derby Public Library this summer.

For the July 24th session, choose between (20) Nail-and-String craft designs (sample shown ) Other samples of this craft project are on display at the Adult Circulation Desk and on our website (www.derbypubliclibrary.org)

Insects will be in focus at Ansonia Nature Center program

ANSONIA - There are more different kinds of insects than any other living thing. 

There are more insects than fish, plants, birds, mammals, and reptiles combined. 

Dive into this dazzling diversity with Nature Center Ranger Evelyn at 11 a.m. July 27 and take a closer look at how our six-legged neighbors live. Paint your mini insect figure to take home.

UPDATE: The festival has been expanded to include July 23 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Candy sushi-making program for teens slated at Seymour Public Library

SHELTON - The Ice Cream Social at the Shelton Community Center baseball field has been rescheduled for Aug. 29 from 4:30-6 p.m.!

Celebrate the LAST DAY of summer break with a free ice cream courtesy of the Shelton Library System, no registration required!
