Assumption School in Ansonia posts honor roll

ANSONIA - Kathleen Molner, Principal of Assumption School, has announced the following students have attained Honor Roll status for the first trimester.

Recuperation journey: Who knew?


I pulled into the driveway the other day and saw a lot of birds looking for seeds in the yard. 

I rolled down the window and took a few photos. They all would have taken off had I gotten out of the car. 

I never realized these birds that seem so plentiful around here had such interesting markings. I thought they were simply a grayish-brown color. 

Winter Concert slated Thursday at Ansonia High School



ANSONIA - The Ansonia High School annual Winter Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the school, 20 Pulaski Highway.

Tickets are $5 for adults/$2 students or free with a donation of one new winter item for the warming tree (per person!).

The theme is "A Not-So-Silent Night."
