Students recognized at school in Derby
Seymour Town Clerk seeks military members' names
SEYMOUR - The Seymour Town Clerk’s Office is reminding residents of Seymour to submit the names of local men and women serving int he military.
The Town of Seymour would like all Seymour men and women currently serving in the military to receive a Christmas check from the Richard R. Pearson Memorial Fund.
Their complete service address should be submitted to the Seymour Town Clerk, including their home address in Seymour and the name of the person submitting the request.

This year the Nov. 30 event will be dedicated to the family of Nina Poeta, who died Nov. 1 after a courageous year-long battle with an inoperable brain tumor. Her family will serve as grand marshals.

DERBY - The Derby Public Library staff invites everyone to its Annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 15.
DERBY - The Derby Public Library staff invites everyone to its Annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 15.
Festivities will run from 11 a.m.- 7:30 p.m.
Over the years, the day’s activities have expanded.

From 1:30-4 p.m., Marc Weissman will entertain visitors on the keyboard as he plays the sounds of the season.
In what has become a holiday tradition, the evening
festivities will include a visit from the Connecticut Yuletide Carolers from 6-7:30 p.m.
These traditionally garbed Carolers will fill the cold winter air with the warm sounds of the season,

bringing holiday cheer to young and old alike.
They will stroll throughout the Library, inviting all to sing along with them.
Cookies and punch will be available throughout the day.

There will also be free holiday-themed basket raffles
open to all visitors.
