BHcare to host walk, celebration in Oxford in honor of domestic violence victim

A Chance to Shine 2022
Join us on June 4 at Quarry Walk in Oxford, CT!

Registration is open! We're hosting a walk in honor of Lori Jackson, a victim of domestic violence. 
We walk in honor of our clients' strength and spirit that allows them to trust BHcare in times of crisis.

A community celebration will follow with live music, lawn games, Touch-A-Truck, food trucks and more!

All proceeds raised support the critical programs of The Umbrella Center, Parent Child Resource Center, Hope Family Justice Center and BHcare’s mental health and substance use services.

We hope you will support us and join us in June at Quarry Walk!

Seymour Public Library slates Girls Who Code Club for Grades 3-5



SEYMOUR - The Seymour Public Library is excited to offer a Girls Who Code Club for children in Grades 3-5 who are interested in learning foundational skills and understandings of computer science.
Zero experience is necessary to join us in this program, and it is open to any member –regardless of gender identity. These programs are free of all costs and the library supplies the laptops.
Our meetings for the 3-5th Grade club will run on the first Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. The Library is at 46 Church St.

Seymour Public Library to host movies on Wednesdays in April


SEYMOUR - Join us [at Seymour Public Library, 46 Church St.] in the lower level auditorium April 6 for a movie! 

The movie starts at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

We'll be showing a recently released romantic comedy from this year starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Maluma. 
It is rated PG-13 and its duration is 1h 52m.

ANSONIA - Ansonia High School Grade 9 math teacher Laura Baker-Coronis has been recognized with a prestigious award for excellence in teaching.

Baker-Coronis was surprised today with the honor at a school-wide assembly.
