Folks have fun creating art outside Lizzie's Corner in Seymour
Daughter Allegra works on her painting technique.
SEYMOUR - The weather certainly cooperated Saturday afternoon for a Paint and Sip held 'en plein air' at Lizzie's Corner Consignment and Gifts, 19 Bank St.
The painting class was taught by Gayle Caro, a wonderfully patient art instructor from Kokopelli School of Music and Arts, 44 Smith St.
Her encouragement as I made a mess with acrylics on the canvas board was much appreciated.
Gayle taught us to create a color wheel to paint the petals.
Woops! I accidentally made the yellow petals green. I need some yellow paint to rectify the situation!
Allegra was able to keep her paint colors separated. I have a lot to learn.
But we both had a great time at the class and we're looking forward to the next one.
Kokopelli Music and Arts will donate a portion of the event proceeds to suicide prevention, and 20 percent of all sales Saturday at Lizzie's Corner also will be donated.
