"Traffic Alert"
Tomorrow morning, Oct. 5, River St. (Rt 313), Broad St (Rt 313), Derby Ave, Cedar St, Rose St, Church St, Beecher St and part of West St (between Beecher St and Derby Ave) will be closed to thru traffic for the annual Seymour Pink 5K Road Race at various times.
At 5:30 am, River St, Broad St, Derby Ave at Rose St and West St at West Church St will be closed to thru traffic.
At 8:45 am, West St at Beecher St, West St at West Church St, Church St at Bank St (Rt 67), all of Derby Ave and Cedar St will be closed for the race. The race will start at 9:00 am sharp.
River St, Broad St, West St (between Cedar St and Derby Ave) and Derby Ave (between Rose St and Broad St) will be closed until at least 11:00 am.
Rt 8 northbound exit 21 exit ramp will also be temporarily shut down and recommend using exit 22 during the closure. Church St, Beecher St, West St (between Beecher St and Cedar St), Cedar St and Derby Ave at Rose St will open up as the last participants make their way through the course.

There will be Officers and Fire Police working at various posts to assist any motorists with questions as well as detour signs at the intersections of West Church St at Knorr Ave and West St at New St directing motorists around the event.
