'Turnback Tuesday' features original chairs in use at Derby Public Library
This week's 'Turnback Tuesday' reminds us the craftsmanship of years ago is still strong today.
The Derby Public Library still has some of its original chairs from 1902. This furniture was specially made for the Library, modeled from the very old style of paintings of the old masters. The furniture was secured from the Howard & Barber Co. of Derby.
The original cost of each arm chair was $4, purchased in October 1902.
This information is shared from the Library's Facebook page.
Thanks go to the Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
