Aroma of autumn in the air evokes childhood memories
It was warm enough Tuesday to drive with the window down as I looked for colorful fall foliage in Ansonia and surrounding towns.
When I drove past this area the "aroma" of the woods instantly brought me back to my days as a Girl Scout, hiking with my friends.
I know that smells can awaken long-forgotten memories, but I'm always amazed when it happens.
This beautiful season is short; I'm trying to make the best of it before winter heads our way.
