Ansonia Nature Center to host program about bats, fall hike
Amazing world of bats
ANSONIA - The Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center invites people to bring the family to learn about bats, those unusual nocturnal creatures, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24.
Did you ever wonder how bats use echolocation to find their prey?
Linda Tomas from Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport will teach us about all of their unique adaptations and their importance to our environment Meet the Nature Center's resident brown bats!

Fall discovery hike
At 1 p.m. Oct. 26 join a Nature Center naturalist for a stroll through our woodlands, old fields, and wetlands.
Enjoy the beauty and the crisp fall air while learning about New England's flora and fauna. Wear appropriate shoes for this moderate hike.
