Teen Advisory Board to meet Dec.18 at Derby Public Library


DERBY - Derby Public Library invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to a Teen Advisory Board meeting at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 18.

Attendees are encouraged to voice their ideas for improving and expanding young adult library services and teen programming. 

Focus will include participant input that contributes to the library fulfilling its mission of quality-of-life enhancements in knowledge, entertainment, and citizenship.

CT Foodshare truck to visit St. Mary's Church Tuesday in Derby


 DERBY - The Connecticut Foodshare truck will return to St. Mary’s Church parking lot Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 2:15-3 p.m.
No income limits, no questions asked...just bring a bag to receive some food.
Next visit after that is Dec. 17.
The church is at 212 Elizabeth St.

Shelton History Center to host annual Holiday Open House


SHELTON - Join us from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Shelton History Center for an evening of holiday fun at our annual Holiday Open House. 
Brownson House will be dressed up in festive cheer and light refreshments will be served as we ring in the season.
The history center is at 70 Ripton Road.
Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5 or help us help our neighbors this holiday season and bring a non-perishable item for Spooner House.

Ansonia to hold annual Christmas tree lighting Friday at Veterans Park


ANSONIA - Join Mayor David S. Cassetti and Santa at 6:30 p.m. Friday in lighting our 25-foot tall Christmas tree and celebrating our local Latin community with traditional Latin music and treats.

The ceremony is at Veterans Park next to City Hall.
