Orchard Hill Band to perform on Huntington Green

SHELTON - Orchard Hill will perform at 7 p.m. July 10 in the Music Under The Stars summer concert series on the Huntington Green. 

Save the date and join us for a great evening of Classic Rock on the historic Huntington Green. Bring your chairs, blankets, food, drinks, family and friends, it’s going to be a great night of live local music.

Derby Neck Needlers stock Nook, sell items to support Library


DERBY - The Derby Neck Library Needlers are meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday to work on their fiber arts projects, but they've also stocked the Library's Needlers Nook with plenty of cute items already, including hand towels and decor items perfect for the Fourth of July.

All proceeds from the Nook go directly to the Library, 307 Hawthorne Ave.

Yarn Baskets Workshop

Learn to make a loom from a paper plate then weave yarn to create a colorful basket in this hands-on art workshop!

Singer/songwriter to present interactive program at Ansonia Nature Center


Chris Rowlands, Puppeteer and Singer, to appear at 7 p.m. July 26 at Ansonia Nature Center.
Chris Rowlands is an award-winning singer and songwriter who offers an interactive, kid-friendly presentation for those who love music and nature. He creatively blends music, comedy, and education in a fast-paced show that teaches and inspires.
Rowlands brings animals to life through song, dance, puppets, and colorful props to teach children about animals and their habitats.
The Environment Magazine has honored Chris with its first E Award for his environmental education programs.
Don’t miss this musical program! FEE: $10 per family.
