Ansonia Library recruiting Teen Advisory Board members
ANSONIA - Join the Ansonia Library's Teen Advisory Board and collaborate with us by:
- giving advice on new programs;
- recommending items for the teen collection;
- input on summer reading incentives;
- assisting with programs and special projects.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
- TAB membership is open to Ansonia residents ages 13-18 with parental permission;
- Try to attend quarterly meetings during the year to learn about the many volunteer opportunities offered;
- Participate in at least three special volunteer opportunities offered each year to stay a current member.

Seymour Public Library to host coding club for Grades 2-5
SEYMOUR - Seymour Public Library will offer an introduction to coding club program for children in Grades 2-5 from 4-4:45 p.m. March 12.
No coding experience required.
Additional dates are April 9, May 14, and June 11.
Registration is required for this program.

DERBY - Join us at Derby Neck Library in our Community Room for Teen Game Night! We'll get started at 3 p.m. today and have snacks and tabletop games!

Derby Historical Society to demonstrate open hearth cooking at Humphreys House
ANSONIA - Join Derby Historical Society docent Maria Schreiner March 24 as she guides you through preparing a traditional 18th-century meal over an open hearth at the David Humphreys House.
Participants will make a full meal including dessert and will participate in every step from starting the fire to enjoying their meal (and bringing leftovers home!)
This event is limited to 8 people. Tickets are $40 per person. Registration opens Friday, March 1 for this one of a kind experience.
The Humphreys House is at 37 Elm St.
Reserve a space by calling the Derby Historical Society at 203-735-1908. If there is enough interest, there will be a second class.

Derby Public Library to host 2 teen game times in March
DERBY - Derby Public Library invites young adults ages 12 to 17 to YA Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. March 6 and 20 for Teen Game Time.
Sony PlayStation Four (PS4), Nintendo Wii, and tabletop games are available.
Light refreshments will be provided.
