Seymour Public Library to show Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' Friday
Seymour Public Library has a free showing Friday of Alfred Hitchcock's movie Vertigo, a 1958 film starring James Stewart and Kim Novak.
The American Film Institute, in its 2007 list of the 100 Greatest American Films of all times, ranks Vertigo in the number 9 spot.

Ansonia Nature Center to offer snowflake craft fun for kids
ANSONIA - Join us inside the Nature Center Visitor Center at 1 p.m. Jan.15 during a cold winter afternoon to create art.
Together, we will craft unique snowflakes you can take home and hang up as festive decorations. The program is for ages 5 and over, with at least one accompanying adult.

Griffin Health in Oxford designated Prostate Cancer MRI Center of Excellence
OXFORD - Griffin Health Imaging and Diagnostics at Quarry Walk in Oxford has been awarded a three-year designation as a Prostate Cancer MRI Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
The ACR designation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed.
The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.
MRI is a noninvasive medical test that utilizes magnetic fields to produce anatomical images of internal body parts to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.
