Griffin Hospital to offer virtual presentations on bariatric surgery

DERBY - Griffin Bariatrics will offer free virtual presentations on its weight-loss services throughout December and January.

Led by Griffin Hospital Director of Bariatrics Dr. Abe Fridman, these seminars will explain how bariatric surgery can help patients lose significant amounts of weight, enhance their health, and provide long-term well-being. 

Additionally, techniques, support programs, pre- and post-operative expectations, and insurance questions are also discussed.

Upcoming seminars will be held on Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 26 at noon, Jan. 2 at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 17 at 5:30 p.m., and Jan. 23 at noon.

Griffin Hospital established its comprehensive weight loss surgery program, Griffin Bariatrics, to provide a medical solution for patients with more substantial weight loss needs.

Ansonia Police seeking public's assistance in locating city man, 40

ANSONIA - The Ansonia Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in locating Paulo Ribeiro, 40, who is 5 foot 8 inches tall, 215 pounds, with brown eyes, shaved head and a beard. 

He was last seen by his family on Oct. 28, 2023 in the area of Lester Street wearing a red t-shirt, black pants and black boots.
