Beacon Falls Public Library to host BBQ at St. Michael's Church Green


BEACON FALLS - Save the Date for our BBQ bash!
Bring the Hoopla will be kicking things off at 4:30 p.m. Aug.10 with a kids' hooping program, followed by music, crafts, and the Men's Club serving up cookout favorites from the grill.
End things on a sweet note with a visit from Ice Cream Emergency's sundae van!
This event is open to everyone of all ages!

Congratulations! Ansonia Fire Department holds promotional, award ceremony



ANSONIA - The Ansonia Fire Department held its Fire Chief Promotional and Award Ceremony Thursday at Ansonia High School.

We [the Ansonia Police Department] would like to congratulate the Chief of Department Alex Horjatschun, 1st Assistant Chief Jay Fainer, 2nd Assistant Chief Anthony Delucia, 3rd Assistant Chief Ken Pawlak, and 4th Assistant Chief Timothy Lembo for their promotions.

to 2nd Assistant Chief Anthony Delucia, Derby firefighter Steven Tracz, and Ansonia Police Department’s very own Sgt. Edward Magera, and Sgt. Alex Barreira for receiving the Life Saving Award.

Ansonia Police: Car stolen during homicide Friday located


ANSONIA - The stolen 2019 Hyundai Elantra color black, Connecticut registration BK 30761, taken during the homicide on Hodge Avenue yesterday has been located, Police Lt. Patrick Lynch said Saturday morning in a written release.

We are still attempting to locate the stolen 2018 Chevrolet Malibu Premier color red, Connecticut registration BD 24248. The occupants of the Chevrolet are considered armed and dangerous please do not approach the car if seen, call your local police department.
