DOT announces milling, resurfacing project in Oxford, Beacon Falls




The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 3.87 mile segment of Route 42 in Oxford and Beacon Falls, from Route 67 (Oxford Rd.) to South Main St.

The milling of this project is scheduled to start on Monday, July 18, 2022 and be completed Wednesday, July 27, 2022. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to start on Monday, August 1, 2022 and be completed on Friday, August 12, 2022.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating Traffic.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).

Derby Neck Library slates Teen Game Night Thursday



DERBY - Our popular Virtual Teen Game Night is going Hybrid! 
The night will be split into two parts:
5-6:30 p.m.:
Join us in-person in our Reading Room for snacks and tabletop games like Survive!, Settlers of Catan, Twister, Jenga, Magic: The Gathering, Liars' Dice, and more!
6:30-8 p.m.:
If you joined the first part, continue hanging out with Miss Sarah and Miss Krissy while we stream the action LIVE on Twitch! 
The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.
Teens joining from home can take part while we play online and browser-based games like Jackbox, Garticphone, skribbl.io, Magic: The Gathering Arena Online, Among Us, Blooket, and more!
This program is targeted to ages 12+ and the gaming content will reflect that.
