'Turnback Tuesday' remembers Bacon Printing Co. in Derby

Turnback Tuesday remembers Bacon Printing Co. at 125 Water St., Derby.

Benjamin H. Bacon and his wife, Eugenia Y., started the business in '46 while he was still serving in the U.S. Navy.

Benjamin was President/Treasurer, Eugenia, Secretary. In the early '60s, Benjamin also became Assistant Secretary for the Birmingham Water Co., then V.P. in '68. They ran a successful business for many years and in 1974, both stepped down from the day-to-day operation of the printing co. while Benjamin remained on the Board til '83.

Thanks goes to the Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
