Program on pollinators slated at Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby

DERBY - Join Kellogg Environmental Center staff at 1 p.m. Aug. 15 for an hour-long program with guest speaker Andrew Danzig, a Certified Master Gardener. 

Learn about the ideal habitats to attract pollinators and the importance of supporting species native to Connecticut.

Discover ways to create sustainable habitats for native pollinators and the components of one’s backyard that can attract these pollinators.  Participants will also be provided with information on specific plants that pollinators enjoy as well as locations in Connecticut and New England where those plants are obtainable.


Registration is required for this free, in-person program.

The Kellogg Environmental Center, a facility of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, is located at 500 Hawthorne Ave. It is open 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Derby Neck Library hosts Video Game Club on Tuesdays


DERBY - Derby Neck Library staff invites teens and tweens to join them from 3-6 p.m. Tuesdays on their devices for Minecraft, Rocket League and more! 
The Library will host the group for the games and the voice chat using Discord. 
If you can’t join the game, you can always join the Discord to chat with your fellow gamers!
