Derby Neck Library to host Animal Embassy program via Zoom

What is your habitat and who are your “wild neighbors”?
Although we talk about the habitats of other animals, few of us contemplate our own. We are a part of a diverse community of plants and animals particular to where we live.
Each species has a unique ability to play a supportive role in their community. Among our “wild neighbors” we have the opportunity to choose the supportive role we play as stewards to our habitat and community.
You'll get to meet some amazing ambassadors, including a giant gecko, Sinaloan milk snake, eclectus parrot, leopard tortoise, red eyed tree frogs, spotted salamander, chinchillas, and our newest addition a fennec fox.
Through these ambassadors, we'll discover some of their local counterparts and explore the vital contributions each would make to the environment had they been born free. We take a lot from the Earth -explore some ways we can give back.
