Rochelle: Connecticut launches Step Up team of volunteers during pandemic

Step Up Connecticut is an effort to enlist everyone in our state who is healthy and able to take part in helping to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteers and flexible paid staff are critical in ensuring residents have access to the things they need.

From becoming substitute teachers to distributing food, volunteering at a COVID-19 test site, or working in a nursing home or hospital, we are counting on residents to step up and lend a hand however they can.

The state doesn't only need medical volunteers and staff - it needs everyone.

Click here to learn about the available opportunities and join the Step Up team today!

This information is shared from a press release from state Rep. Kara Rochelle, D-Ansonia/Derby, who represents the 104th District.
