Ansonia Police: UI to cut power to parts of city for at least 2 hours tonight

ANSONIA - Due to a downed tree on a transmission line at the United Illuminating substation in Ansonia, UI will have to shut down power to several thousand residents beginning at 10 tonight.

The power outages will affect residents living on and around North Main Street up to the Seymour town line and from East Main Street east to the Woodbridge town line.

United Illuminating plans to restore power as quickly as possible but anticipates at least a two hour power outage.

Get ready to LOL with VSF this summer!

Join us in Veteran's Memorial Park for this epic story of swashbuckling action, romance, and panache!

As Connecticut continues to reopen and in an effort to keep actors, crew, and audiences safe we have opted for a 3-actor Cyrano as our FREE SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK.

Cyrano de Bergerac is a master of swordplay and wordplay, but a “magnificent Mount Everest of a nose” blocks his path to true love.
From Parisian balconies to bloody battlefields, tongue-tied Christian borrows Cyrano’s words to woo beautiful Roxane - but is she falling for Christian’s looks or Cyrano’s soul?

The play is set in 1640 in Paris.

Run time is approximately 70 minutes with no intermission
