Derby Historical Society seeks donations through Giving Tag Program

ANSONIA - The Derby Historical Society has begun generating donations through the Stop & Shop Giving Tag Program.
The Stop & Shop Giving Tag Program, launched in May, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
When a shopper purchases the $2.50 reusable Community Bag at any Stop & Shop store, they have the opportunity to direct a $1 donation to a local nonprofit by using the attached Giving Tag.

The Derby Historical Society is a non-profit based in Ansonia. Founded in 1946, the Derby Historical Society has over 500 members from all over the United States.

The David Humphreys House is a working museum and we support and consult numerous municipal agencies in the cities and towns we serve, as well as the general public.
The David Humphreys House comes alive with students role-playing the identities of actual children who lived in 1762, as they learn how to weave, spin, and prepare lunch on an open hearth. Our programs use a hands-on approach to learning, giving students an opportunity to immerse themselves in our nation's history. 'Pink warriors' to model in fashion show benefit in Oxford for Seymour Pink

I'm thrilled that I've been selected as a pink warrior and I'll be participating in the above-mentioned Day of Glamour at Quarry Walk in Oxford.
In February 2011 I became one of many women in the Valley who has heard the dreaded words "you have breast cancer."

I feel that each year since then has been a gift: eight and a half years and counting.

Today I want to thank the wonderful friend who nominated me to be a part of this fun event to benefit Seymour Pink!
