This may not be as clear as I'd like, but it was taken as I was sitting at my desk about 10 feet away from the window.
Previous 'Turnback Tuesday' about Derby train station shared
This 'Turnback Tuesday' post from Jan. 10, 2017 came up today in my Facebook memories.
I always enjoy reading about local history and I thought I'd share this post here.
This week's "Turnback Tuesday" features a picture postcard of the Derby-Shelton Railroad Station, located at 12 Main St. in Derby.
The building was originally constructed in 1903 by the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad Companies.
Currently, the station is still a stop along the Waterbury Branch of Metro North Railroad, with connecting service to the New Haven line at the Bridgeport station.
'Turnback Tuesday' featuring local history is offered each week by Derby Public Library staff. It's always an interesting read!
