Turnback Tuesday remembers the “Old Mill Stone of Derby.”
The stone was from the first grist mill in Derby located on Sentinel Hill.
The Sarah Riggs Humphreys' Daughters of the American Revolution owned the mill stone and offered it to the Derby Public Library.
The Daughters said they would cover the expenses for the stone to be moved and have it set up as a sun dial.
The Sundial/Millstone was dedicated by the Daughters in 1929. The sundial still stands in front of the Library today.

Community Bag Program at Big Y in Ansonia to support Master's Table
Sharing a message from James Fedak Jr., President, Master's Table Community Meals:
"We are excited to announce that Master's Table Community Meals has been selected to be a part of the Big Y Community Bag Program, which is designed to make it easy for customers to contribute to their local community while supporting the environment.
"From January 14 - January 31, each time a reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Big Y located at 403 Main St., Ansonia, $1 will be donated to Master's Table Community Meals, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag.
"We appreciate the support you give, which has allowed Master's Table Community Meals to maintain the work we do in our community. The Big Y Community Bag Program is a great way to continue to support our cause while working to eliminate single-use paper and plastic bags.
"Imagine if each one of our supporters purchased just ONE bag! Please spread the word and pass this exciting news on to your friends and family.
"Thank you so much for your continued support."
