SEYMOUR - Cub Scout Pack 11 will host the annual Seymour Christmas Parade at 2 p.m. Nov. 25.

Ansonia Police announce Wakelee Avenue road closure

ANSONIA - As part of the ongoing road construction on Wakelee Avenue, there will be road closures over the next two days, Wednesday 9/19/18 and Thursday 9/20/18, police said in a release Tuesday. 


Wakelee Avenue from Division Street to Franklin Street will be closed to through traffic, only local residents and businesses and their customers will be allowed access to Wakelee Avenue. 

The road closure is being done to accommodate paving from Division Street to Dwight Street. All traffic will be northbound, officers will be stationed throughout the route and signs will be posted. 
The Ansonia Police Department recommends commuters take alternate routes and avoid the Wakelee Avenue area unless you live or have business in the area.


Seymour Public Library to host 3 mini movies


SEYMOUR - Seymour Public Library, 46 Church St., will host three Morning Mini Movies at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays, Sept. 20, 27, and Oct. 4.

'Turnback Tuesday' features festive Derby Public Library staff


This week's 'Turnback Tuesday' is an oldie but goodie.

Seymour Congregational Church slates 30th annual Snowflake Fair


SEYMOUR - The Seymour Congregational Church will hold its 30th annual Snowflake Fair from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 17.
It will feature crafters, vendors, raffles, door prizes, boutique, treasures room, and a kids' craft room. 

There will be on-site parking for all visitors. The church is handicapped accessible.
