Recuperation journey: September sunset

I was happy to capture another sunset view from our backyard view this evening. I like the stripes in the sky.

Recuperation journey: 'Shear' fun seen in Ansonia

Q. Where did Ansonia Mayor David S. Cassetti get his hair cut today?

A. At the Ace Cosmetology & Barber Training Center grand opening event, 370 E. Main St., Ansonia.

(Wallingford resident Frankie D'Angelo is the barber.)

'Turnback Tuesday' features postcard highlighting Derby

This week's 'Turnback Tuesday' features a postcard advertising the great town of Derby. Postcards were an inexpensive way to correspond with a loved one or friend, so many towns and cities would have these cards readily available.
This particular postcard is called a "divided back," having two sides.
The right side is used for the address and the left side is for messages.

*Thanks as always to the Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
