My Sister's Place in Ansonia asks public's help

from My Sister's Place thrift shop
"We kindly ask that you do not leave donations outside in the parking lot. Many items have been stolen and damaged by rain and we are not able to accept them.
"If you are making a drop off before or after the hours of operation, then please use the white bin. 
Thank you for your cooperation."
All proceeds from My Sister's Place, a thrift shop at 380 Main St., Ansonia, benefit The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, a program of BHcare.

Tweens to make chocolate at Huntington Branch Library

SHELTON - Tweens entering grades 5-8 can join Kim Larkin of Klassic Kreations for a mouthwatering afternoon!

Learn about young chocolate entrepreneurs and chocolate history. Take a trivia quiz. 
Then, sample make-and-take chocolate creations during a demonstration of a tempering machine. 
Please note: ingredients have been processed in a facility that also processes nuts.

Ponies to visit Derby Neck Library Monday

DERBY - JC PONIES will visit Derby Neck Library at 10 a.m. Monday (Aug. 13). The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.

Children will be able to meet them and go for a ride around the garden. 

In the event of rain, the program will be rescheduled.
