Recuperation journey: Another morning, another bath
This blue jay bathes more often than I do!
He's going to be disappointed after I poke the leaves out of his corner of the gutter and the bath water drains out.
I posted this photo of feathered friends enjoying the water on Saturday:
Time to go work on removing this makeshift bath!
'Turnback Tuesday' features early ambulance at Griffin Hospital in Derby
This week's "Turnback Tuesday" features the ambulance used at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
It is believed to be built by the Seaman Body Co. for Nash Motors in 1920.
This ambulance is a coach body with a closed cab. Coach cab made it possible to customize or build to suit a specific purpose.
Behind the driver's seat is an opera window. Cowl lights are located on either side by the front windshield. Because this was a commercial vehicle, brass was no longer used for the accessories.
The wheels were wooden with 10 spokes.
Thanks as always to Derby Public Library for sharing interesting local history each week!
