Recuperation journey: Feeling thankful

On Wednesday it will be a year since my recuperation journey started.
That's when I received a healthy kidney from an altruistic donor, Robin Gilmartin. We didn't know each other then but needless to say we are strangers no more.
And there was cake.

Yesterday I had a party to mark my first kidneyversary.

A big thank you goes to my family and friends who celebrated with me!
I'm only sorry several special people, including Robin, were unable to attend. I know it's a busy time of year for events.

I'm already planning another party for 2019.
