PCRC to serve up food truck festival in Shelton


SHELTON - The Parent Child Resource Center will host its Second Annual “Food Trucks in the Valley” from 4-8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Shelton Riverwalk to benefit behavioral health programs that serve children and families in Connecticut.

This event is open to all children, families, and friends. Our current sponsors include Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us, and Avalon-Shelton. We continue to seek new supporters of this event.

As the first food truck festival in Valley history, “Food Trucks in the Valley” has grown in its second year to include 25+ food trucks, live music, sports mascots, new and exciting kids activities, as well as a car show.

The event is intended to increase awareness of PCRC, a leading provider of children’s behavioral health in Connecticut and the primary provider in the Lower Naugatuck Valley. 
This event’s purpose is to create fun for families in our surrounding communities and bring everyone together. Proceeds from the event will support PCRC and its various programs and services.

"Food Trucks in the Valley” will raise funds to support PCRC’s successful clinical programs that deliver a state of the art care to our clients – as a leader in the delivery of mental health services to children and families. 

Each year we serve more than 1,200 children, many who suffer from serious behavioral and emotional problems, including trauma, abuse and neglect.
